Dr Ely created ReadyRNs to allow individuals to significantly advance their knowledge and clinical readiness as nursing students, new graduates, and even seasoned nurses.

As a newly licensed RN, Dr. Ely landed his dream job in an intensive care unit, but like many new nurses, he struggled with self-doubt about his clinical abilities. This led him to resign within a year, a decision that profoundly shaped his perspective on educating nurses. After two years, he finally returned to bedside nursing, eventually advancing through roles such as nurse manager, system clinical leadership, Chief Nursing Officer, and CEO. These experiences fueled his commitment to ensure nursing students and nurses are prepared, confident, and able to thrive in their careers.

Driven by this mission, Dr. Ely pursued a PhD in Nursing. He developed a groundbreaking educational methodology that empowers healthcare educators and leaders to identify and prioritize what nurses need to master, decreasing the time required for achieving readiness and independence in any nursing specialty. However, he realized that nurses would still struggle to gain the necessary opportunities to achieve true mastery without a platform offering extensive situated learning and unlimited practice. Determined to bridge this gap and better prepare nurses for real-world practice, he assembled a team of AI engineers and developed ReadyRNs.
